Linux cPanel servers offers FTP service (port 21) in secure mode. This allows you to transfer data between your computer and the server safely. To use the service you will need to enable SSL / TLS in your FTP program as follows:

Total Commander:
1) Downloac OpenSSL files from the attachment.
2) Copy  ssleay32.dll and libeay32.dll files to the directory where it is installed Total Commander(usualy C:\totalcmd)
3) In Total Commander saved connection options activate option SSL/TLS

4) Activate option "Use passive mode for transfers"

Filezilla

If you saved session all you need to do is select the Server Type option FTPES.
So go to menu File - Site Manager and chose FTPES

If you create a new account select FTPES on Server Type sectionUSE PORT 21!

Dreamweaver CS5
Site->select site.name->Edit->Servers->select server->Edit -> Connect using-> SFTP

WinSCP
To use FTP and File Encryption protocol TLS Explicit. Enable Passive Mode in Connection menu.
Winscp

Note: If your FTP client is not listed in this section look in the documentation of your ftp client on how to enable this option. Usually it is enough if you use the address / host to connect as: ftpes://mydommain.ro or ftpes://IP, or Explicit TLS or TLS auth. Connection port is 21!
