Windows Live Mail Configuration

If you want to send and receive your VIPMail emails using Windows Live Mail, we have the steps you need to get started.

1. Launch Windows Live Mail.
2. Go to Options -> Email Accounts, click Add and select Email Account.
3. Enter your account details as follows:
   • Display name : Enter your name as you'd like it to appear in email.
     - For example, "Daniel Popescu"
   • Email address: Enter your full VIPMail email address.
     - For example, "username@ro.com"
   • Password: Enter your VIPMail account password. 
     
     
     
     
4. Click Next.
5. Enter server details as follows
   
   Incoming server information
   
   Server type : IMAP
   Server Address : mail.ro.com
   Port : 993
   Check the option : Requires a secure connection (SSL)
   Authenticate using : Select Clear text
   Logon username : Enter your full VIPMail email address. For example, "username@ro.com"
   
   Outgoing server information
   
   Server Address : mail.ro.com
   Port : 465
   Check the option : Requires a secure connection (SSL).
   Check the option : Requires authentication.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Click Next.
7. Click Finish.
